Lawrence R. Lustig , Howard W. Smith Professor of Otolaryngology—Head & Neck Surgery at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, will discuss a clinical trial being conducted at Columbia (with Johns Hopkins and the University of Kansas Medical Center) to regenerate hair cells through gene therapy. His colleague Justin Golub will discuss how hearing loss may be linked to other biological conditions.
