Brenda Battat, former executive director of HLAA, will discuss hereditary hearing loss, including her own family’s experience working with a geneticist on prevention via gene therapy. Brenda will be joined by her daughter, Anna Westrick, M.D., Vice-Chair of Anesthesiology, Princeton Medical Center, her son James Battat, Ph.D. Associate Professor of physics, Wellesley College, and their families, and by geneticist Hela Azaiez, Ph.D., Research Scientist, University of Iowa.
